3 Ways to Get Yourself to Floss More in 2021

2021 is getting closer and closer, and it’s time to start making your plans for the new year. If getting a brighter, healthier smile is one of your New Year’s resolutions, cosmetic treatments like teeth whitening can help, but flossing will be crucial in helping to improve your oral health. Set Realistic Goals

Having a resolution to floss more often is a good, but trying to force yourself to floss every day without easing into it may end up setting you up for failure. If flossing hasn’t ever really been part of your regular dental routine, try starting with a goal to floss every Monday and Friday for the first month. The next month, increase it to Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Keep increasing the frequency each month until it’s time for your annual dental cleaning. It can help you see exactly where your problem areas are and give you the satisfaction of knowing your mouth is truly clean. 

Your at-home dental care regime is just as important as visiting your dentist on a regular basis. Following these tips can help you stay on track with flossing at least once a day and minimize your risk of developing cavities, gingivitis and other dental issues.
